When the Event Horizon, a spacecraft that vanished years earlier, suddenly reappears, a team is dispatched to investigate the ship. Accompanied by the Event Horizon’s creator, William Weir (Sam Neill), the crew of the Lewis and Clark, led by Capt. Miller (Laurence Fishburne), begins to explore the seemingly abandoned vessel. However, it soon becomes evident that something sinister resides in its corridors, and that the horrors that befell the Event Horizon’s previous journey are still present.

I was in my late twenties and saw this at the cinema when it first came out. It freaked me out then.
I'm 49 now and i wouldn't watch it on my own! There's something nasty about it which got under my skin.

This is a GREAT story and I love that it combines 2 genres… Horror and Sci-Fi.
My only gripe with it is that some of the story is too sped up. The Dr, going crazy, etc.
If Stanley Kubrick had directed this film, it would've been another "The Shining".
Kubrick would've added an easy 30 to 45 mins of run time on it, but that would've changed this from a B+ to an A+.

7/10 – SPOILER : The ending could have been alot better. Considering Sam Neil's character said throughout the film, that his ship cannot be destroyed .. Only to then be destroyed toward end. Mmm
This movie is some scary shit the first time you watch it. I remember it doing late night re-runs on some movie channel years ago. I've watched this movie about 30 times while stoned out of my mind.
