  1. As I website possessor I believe the content matter here is rattling magnificent , appreciate it for your efforts. You should keep it up forever! Good Luck. Rasia Sylvan Quitt

  2. Before The Girl With All The Gifts this was my favourite British horror movie. I've actually just reread the original novella, The Hell bound Heart, as Barker has finally written an official sequel called the Scarlet Gospels. Now I want to see the original again.

  3. This is NOT a slasher film. It's a body horror film, like The Thing or Videodrome. Not Friday The 13th or Nightmare. Frank and Julie are the antagonists and center to the plot, not the Cenobrites. Clive Barker actually hates the comparisons and that fans have missed the point of his original work.

  4. EVIL always gets Evil doers.. He is one of my favorite simi villians..I have seen most all of these films..but perhaps not all of them..asops fables..comes to mind..you play with evils of the world..and HELL will shurly find thee…yoho..yeshua lives..

  5. This movie scared the crap out of me. Even as a kid who isnt supposed to be watching it still did. I had nightmares and woke up crying but I didnt care I still continue to watch them to this day. Of course the nightmares stopped but remember the dreams being so vivid. Oh and the exorisct 🤷‍♀️

  6. This is one of the worst plots i have ever seen in any children's or adult movie. Just terrible. Clive Barker must have been in a k-hole pacing around with coffee cups and cigarette butts littered around his apartment, like Charlie Day from Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the mailroom, piecing this abominable story together with post-it notes connected with string on a bulletin board thinking he's uncovered the hidden matrix that holds everything together. When in reality he was bringing to fruition, in my opinion, one of the worst movies ever made in general let alone of the horror genre. I had a more articulate synopsis of what I think is wrong with this movie typed out but my computer froze and i lost it. its getting late and no one is ever going to read this. but in case someone does: don't watch this nonsensical self-referencing dissociative nightmare regardless of whether the way i've just described sounds intriguing to you. its not. I know art is subjective but there comes a time when we must all denounce such a putrid example of lazy writing who's decadence would make a formulaic jump-scare movie seem creative and inspired by comparison. just don't. you'll never get the hour and thirty-four minutes of you life back which is ironically how long it took me to write and rewrite this comment but its worth it if I saved just one person from giving this movie the chance it does not deserve. The worst part is I went into it with high hopes of finding another classic horror movie to throw into the rotation but I was met instead with a loss of hope in storytellers and their ability to accurately translate the struggles, pitfalls and triumphs of mankind onto the big screen. which was the most terrifying experience of the whole movie and one that managed to haunt me for longer than any well-written horror movie has so i guess if thats what Clive was going for then he nailed it.

  7. Channel 4 showed Hellraiser on Christmas day 2001. I used to think that was the first time was shown on British terrestrial TV, but I have a vague memory of two of my friends saying that they'd watched it. That was in my second year at university, so around autumn 1999 or early 2000. Ring any bells?

  8. Never would have this film in my house again after having it on dvd something really weird happened I no it’s to do with this film and scary actually i bought it I left it in my living room but I went to my dads I had plans to watch it when I got back but while I was at my fathers place my mum rang me up and said did I leave the shed open I said no what ya on about she said the shed was open she was freaked out by it but i was thinking she was just being daft and must have done it her self so I put phone down .she rang back 5 mins later asking did I open her draws and I said mum no why would I go in your draws for just cos I have long her don’t mean I wanna go through your draw and try your clothes on then I said am going off the phone mum then she rang me back again saying something wired going on and I said what up she said things are in different places I said hmm ok then all a sudden the was a knock on the door and she screamed and I said what up mum what’s up your freaking me out I was panicking to I didn’t no what was going on and she said the a demon on the door with a pair of tits asking for a bible I freaked out true story if you don’t believe me u can ask my dad and my sister even my dead gold fish will say its true cos they was alive at the time honesty you gotta believe me a demon did knock on the door

  9. There have been many horror movies over the years but this is one of the few that is genuinely frightening and disturbing. It's in the same class as The Exorcist in terms of being extreme.
After you see it you are not sure if you ever want to see it again because it's so intense.
