Bruce Campbell is one of the most well-known members of the Evil Dead franchise. He has complete control over everything he does and says. After all, he is Ash Williams. He’s also working as a producer on the upcoming Lee Cronin-directed picture Evil Dead: Rise.
Campbell was asked about Evil Dead: Rise by blairwitch.de, and boy, oh boy, did he respond.
“A single mother now has to cope with this book,” Campbell explained, adding, “These days it’s more about the book.” That book is well-known… People try to get rid of it by burying or destroying it, but they can’t.” Campbell remarked.
That tells us a lot more about the plot than we previously understood. Campbell, surprisingly, didn’t stop there. He went on to construct a picture of a grim Evil Dead movie with no good endings.
Please do not read the next paragraph if you do not want to be spoiled about Evil Dead: Rise. Campbell revealed the plot and may have leaked a few spoilers in the process. Campbell opened up recently and said:
“This family is not the same at the end of the movie. They’re gutted. The whole family is destroyed. These people get possessed. Brothers and sisters, sons, daughters, you know. So yeah, it’s a family affair, this one’s a family affair. They’re all related in this one. I think that makes the possession and killing your siblings — things like that, even harder. Because in the original ‘Evil Dead,’ there was only one brother/sister combo, Ash and his sister Sheryl. The rest were just friends. Now this is all, they’re all related in this household. Much more excruciating.”
Evil Dead: Rise will be released in theaters sometime in 2022
