Draining an enemy with a high blood type is an easy way to buff yourself in V Rising. With a variety of bonuses given depending on the type of blood, it’s important to know what blood grants what bonus. Here’s a full overview of blood types, their bonuses, and how to get the higher tiers in V Rising.
Blood Types in V Rising
There are seven different blood types that you can drain and take on in V Rising.
- Creature
- Brute
- Scholar
- Worker
- Rogue
- Warrior
- Mutant
Each blood type has its own tiered bonuses, which are determined by the percent of that blood you drink. Not all enemies will be 100% of that blood. For example, you can drain a bear that only has 13% Creature blood. You’ll see these bonuses when you mouse over the enemy or over their heads if you have the Blood Hunger ability. There are five tiers, with each tier unlocked depending on the percentage of blood.
- Tier 1: 1%
- Tier 2: 30%
- Tier 3: 60%
- Tier 4: 90%
- Tier 5: 100%
Once you unlock prisoners and the cells, you can bring those with a high percentage blood type to your castle. Draining these prisoners repeatedly will give you a steady supply of consistent blood with the buffs you prefer. This can take awhile, but I’ve found a few 90% and up Blood Types while wandering around the Farbane Woods or Dunley Farmlands. Even the smallest amount of any Blood type will give you a boost over being Frail, your natural state when you spawn, so keep an eye out while wandering.
