My favorite unnerving horror flick.
Starting off the movie by showing us the aliens was a horrible directorial decision. It takes away the whole tension from the ambiguity of whether these things were actually happening or if it was all psychological. It also takes away from the feeling of waking up one day and suddenly realizing everything around you has completely changed. That feeling of everything appearing the same but YOU Don't KNOW WHY it seems different. That was the whole vibe of the book.

Finally getting to watch this, and boy howdy I was not prepared for the level of actual unnerved spookiness that came with it.
I was, admittedly, expecting more cheese. But this movie is fantastic at creating a slow moving terror. Especially with people and details in the background that are just progressively getting more and more creepy.
