Ed and Lorraine Warren have officially parted ways. While this news would have made headlines two decades ago, it now simply signifies that actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have concluded their portrayal of the iconic couple in The Conjuring universe. The real-life Warrens have since passed away and the time has finally come to move on.
According to JoBlo, The Conjuring: Last Rites is set in the 1980s, but beyond that, all we know is that the haunting unfolds somewhere in the United States.
On her last day of filming Farmiga shared a message for fans on her Instagram account confirming the news.
James Wan and Peter Safran return to produce. The Conjuring: Last Rites is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 5, 2025.
