“Insidious: The Red Door” Grabs the #1 Spot on Opening Weekend

“The Red Door” is the 5th chapter in the Insidious franchise, and has dominated the box office on its opening weekend. The film has made an impressive $32.65M domestically, while earning a total of $64.05M worldwide. That’s a very impressive statistic considering it’s $16M budget.

 

The film is directed by Patrick Wilson (Insidious, The Conjuring) who starred as the father in the first 2 films and was produced by James Wan and Jason Blum (Blumhouse creator and CEO)

Set 10 years after the second film, the Lambert family must once again deal with repressed demons from their past.

“The Red Door” is full of twists,  turns and jump scares that will keep you hanging on to the edge of your seat.
